March 24 2012 -10:30pm – Hiro Ballroom, NYC:  Yes it’s back!  To celebrate 25 years since the The Together Forever Tour which starred RUN DMC and the BEASTIE BOYS, Props To Hip Hop and CEG are teaming up to create one of the largest hip hop tributes New York City has ever seen. Backed by a ridiculously talented live band as always and featuring nearly two dozen of New York City’s top up and coming emcees, Props To Hip Hop plans to provide audiences with the show they would have seen back in 1987.  The set list will feature the greatest hits from the albums; Run DMC, King Of Rock, Raising Hell, License To Ill. "AD DEEZ": NEW COMEDIC COMMERCIAL SERIES BY COOLE HIGH
This is a series of segments inspired by those long nights waiting for the subway in NYC. Created by Coole High courtesy of ReddOktoba Productions. (By the way, Imperious Mgmt. thought it was a good idea).   If you stood or sat in a train station in NYC and were either appalled or amazed by the stupid ads that are posted, you’ll enjoy this series.  Subscribe to my channel and stay tuned for future bi-weekly episodes, as there’s practically an endless supply of material.

SOMETHING REALLY POSITIVE
Spring is upon us, can’t you tell? The weather is getting nicer. Too bad a lot of people aren’t that nice. Oh well, somebody’s got to be the nice guy, right? Hmmm, let me think about that for a moment. Eh. Saw a teen on the train wearing a lanyard with a picture of his friend who was murdered (last week). I struck up a long convo with him, and found that his friend was set up over a girl. WOW! And only 18 yrs. The youth really needs us y’all, even if just for an encouraging word or something positive. They’re going through a lot, with self hate, police brutality, etc. Take a moment to reach a few, because “they’re literally our future”. Do you want your future to be shot and killed before it experiences anything? So in other news, I was recent filmed for a documentary directed by Evan Ginzburg (Associate Producer of “The Wrestler” and Legends Radio host) that illustrates communication between musicians and people who barely understand english. My example was, “Can a rapper get through to a middle aged woman from China, weaned on Classical music?”. Needless to say, it was an enlightening and humbling experience talking with and performing for classrooms filled with people who were not from this country. Let’s you know that music is a powerful force to be reckoned with, regardless of what genre. Also I’ll be able to move back into my old domicile by mid-month. It’s been rebuilt completely and the fam will be happy again. With that said, I thank you so much for either the kind words of encouragement during that time of hardship, or the donation, or just simply being such a cool person, a Highlyter! I’m forever greatful.

First official Concert of the year is gonna knock you flat as Tah and Coole bring to NYC the style they originated in Philadelphia at a crunch time concert back in 2004 at the Independent Music Conference. They have done this style of back and forth concert everywhere but in NYC… and no… if you went to see them in Future Insomniac, it is not the same deal. New Yorkers, you have not seen what these cats do when they tag team it. So don’t miss out.
